Temitope Ifegbesan

Temitope Ifegbesan - a Teach for Nigeria Fellow, a Leading From Lived Experience Fellow, and a Teach For All Global Girls' Education alumni - has 6 years experience as an Educator.

She is a volunteer with Child Support Initiative, a mentor at Global Youth Leadership and Girl-Child Foundation; a Teach For All Facebook Community Champion; an Assistant Zonal Coordinator for Babes Redefined International; and a curator of learning resources in TFN-HITCH COVID-19 Response Program.
She also volunteers in teams which create radio and television learning contents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She has volunteered for Vessels of Honour Foundation, Millennium Development Goals Club, Pan-African Development Education and Advocacy Programme, and Nigeria Model United Nations Society.

Temitope bags a degree in Communication and Language Arts from University of Ibadan, Nigeria; Diploma in Customer Relationship Management; and a certificate in Deep Learning Through Transformative Pedagogy from University of Queensland, Australia. She has training and certifications in Leadership and Management; Leadership and Action; Peace Journalism; and Online Journalism. She is currently studying for a Professional Diploma in Education, as well as undergoing the Young African Leaders Initiative West Africa Regional Leadership Center (YALI RLC) West Africa training.

Temitope was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Active Citizenship in Education Award; a top four finalist in 2019/2020 Teach For Nigeria Fellow of the Year Award; and won the Green Education Support Initiative 'Most Influencer' Award.

Temitope co-founded EmpowerHer Initiative - a non-profit which connects women in low-income communities with opportunities for economic empowerment and financial inclusion.
Her interests include gender issues, education, child protection and social entrepreneurship.
